There is a huge difference between having dogs and then getting a full time job and having a full time job and then getting a dog.
No rescue can tell you if a dog when it goes to a new home will be okay on its own all day. They can only advise. I was advised to keep my rescue dog away from men as it had a big fear of them. However she prefers my male relatives to my female ones.
