Leaving Flat : Shall I Ask For Paid In Advance Rent Back?

I am moving out of the flat I rented next month. Unfortunately, there are a few days left in the rolling month contract which means that I will be losing out. Should I or can I ask for the money back (£80) for the days where I won't be living in the flat?
Also are there any tips that I need to remember because I've been living here for three years and it is the first time I am actually moving house from a non-shared property.
Thanks everyone!

If you leave before your notice period expires, you aren't entitled to any refund, you are obligated to pay rent and your non-occupancy is irrelevant. If your notice has been accepted, and you have accidentally overpaid rent past its expiry, then contact your landlord for the refund.
Remember to call in your meter readings to the gas/electricity people, notify the council tax dept that you've left the property and set up royal mail post forwarding so you mail goes to your new address.
Did you get an inventory/schedule of condition at the outset? Was your deposit supposed to have been protected in a tenancy deposit scheme and if so, was it?0 -

Are they legally forced to pay? Or do I have to remind them?
I will do as you said with the utilities and Ccl bill. I have lived at the same property for almost 3 years now. The tenancy deposit scheme was created after that. I just cross fingers for everything to go well. Links are a man's best friends.com0
