computer

Please can you give me some advise please I need a new computer and I haven't a clue :confused: what I need. don't like asking in shops they just blind me with science, I don't want to pay to much its only for me HELP. :beer:

    Do you just need a base unit ie the computer and no screen like LCD keyboard and a mouse

    Its it just for word-processing, surfing odd game perhaps not the latest games as this will increase budget
  • my Budget is £200 or £250 yes I do lot of surfing downloading music ect my last computer was dell I only had this for two years and apparently the mother board is no good think thats what he called it dell wants £130 pounds for a new one :confused:, I don,t need a keyboard or LCD

    So you current one is completely broken then?

    A new motherboard could cost less than £100.
    Might be better to get that sorted and save some money.

    Specs are a little too low on the suggestion above mine.

    A new motherboard might be £130 from Dell, but not if you buy it from somewhere else and replace it yourself. It's easy, just a few screws to replace. Unless Dell motherboards are a funny shape or something?
