in IVA & DRO
i have had an iva for 3 months now, things have been ok except that barclays mercers and calder fincial keep phoning us and threatening us with sending people round to us. They say they have not receivied any information about iva, yet debt lifeboat have sent them copies at least 10 times. This is upsetting my family , as we were told they are not legaly allowed to.
Please can anybody help us.

You're now in the Holy Grail of people receiving unwanted calls from hassling and harassing creditors. Enjoy yourself!
Next time they call don't mention your IVA. Tell them you simply refuse to pay. You've had enough. Tell them you dont like debts. Keep asking them where they're calling from and the caller's name. What's the debt again? Never heard of them!
They will go away, but it may take a month. Officially they'll say "it takes a while before that kind of information (your IVA) passes through our departments until it's registered on our files" BUT in reality this info could travel instantaneously if they wanted - they'd just love to tease an extra payment out of you!
Hang in there, and instead of letting them wind you up, you may as well wind them up (sorry if this is too flippant!)Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?
