How much do you think a fair charge will be?

I presently have a claim against Lloyds TSB for unfair bank charges.

To my surprise I found that they had charged me £4400 over 6 years. I was somewhat embarrassed by this - but to be honest I didnt really notice the extent of the charges when they were individually put through the account.

My question is this. When the matter reaches its conclusion at what figure do forum members believe "reasonble charges" will be set.
I have dealt with Motor & Personal Injury Claims for 20 years.

I myself have a claim going through Lloyds for reclaiment of bank charges, and like you i was suprised at how much it amounted to over a 6 year period! Something in the order of 3.5k!!

Anyway, i've read on here and agree with Martin when he says a fair charge (fair being relative to how much it costs the bank in admin charges etc when you stray over your limit) being £2 - £3. I also think that being charged for EVERY DAY your over your limit as some banks (Lloyds of course being one of them) is unfair and should be well and truly scrapped!

I suggest you check how much they have charged you since July 2001 since that is how far back you can go......
It is irrelevent the cost but the fairness of the charge is the issue.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
