AA Mechanical Warranty Insurance
Hi all
The engine in my son in laws car literally blew up when he was driving to work 2 weeks ago. "Luckily" he had mechanical warranty insurance with the AA. (executive 5 star cover). He had the car towed to his garage at his expense (recovery not part of deal) and the garage sent in a comprehensive report to the AA insurers. My son in law had to hire a car again at his own expense and basically the AA are messing around and still haven't agreed the claim. Now they want another report which they say my son in law will have to pay for, they want the engine fully stripped down which they say my son in law will have to pay for. The AA are just trying to get out of paying for what is going to be an expensive repair.
We don't know what to do now as have never been off the phone to the insurers and garage now saying that they don't have the space to hold the car too much longer.
