new printer advice needed...

Im in the market for a new printer and after i wasted £30 on an inkjet printer that cost £15 to re-fill then ran out again in 2 weeks!.....im thinking of getting a laser......
i dont really need it to be colour although im not sure that the price difference between laser and black & white is that huge anymore?!
i wouldnt mind having the scanner/photcopier option though, as this can be quite handy in the long run.
I keep reading stories about them sending out these printers with 1/3 of the cartridge filled so you have to replace them quickly which can be very expensive! ( and i dont want to get burned like that again!)
or people saying that each cartridge/toner has a microchip on them and it counts the number of pages you print and then "locks" your printer and refuses to print until you buy an original and expensive re-fill!
So i just want to some advice on what brand/printer is the best to buy and cheap/easy to re-fill...
idealy i'd like to spend between £50-£70
all advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.....

wow that is cheap!
but they obviously wont be epson cartridges and the las ttime i bought an "own" brand re-fill for the sx100 it woulnt work and epson wouldnt give me any trouvleshooting advice or help becuase it wasnt one of their own cartridges....
have you experienced any problems like this in the past?
would i be able to return them if they didnt work/fit?
thanks for your help...0 -
No there only compatibles as I said, but no problems with them. Been using compatibles for years with no problems most places like cartridge world etc do there own which are compatibles. If you want original expect to pay top whack all printer ink are top price as I suspect that's where the money is the printers often sold are very cheap for a reason0

Check out ebuyer.com for low cost samsung mono laser printers. Very economical to run.
If you want a colour laser check out the CLX 3170FN - I love it!0
