Are stoozing days over?

Tomstickland - when would you recommend I re-apply for a card (like Sainsbury's for example)? Just got rejected for HBOS charity card due to new job, and will be moving to new address in 2 weeks.
Also, if you put all your salary into a savings account, and use credit card for everything else, how you you handle it when you need real cash to use?
Thanks

Look at your credit files for free (article on MSE about this, basically join the £8 per month Gold credit service, look at files and then leave service before first month is up).
It's advisable to wait a few months before applying for more credit if there are too many searches on your file.
What I'm going to do is:
salary into current account
pay most of if into high rate savings account, but leave a float in current account for cah use
pay for items on credit card
use current account for cash wirthdrawlsHappy chappy0 -
Have been using Experians CreditExpert for past 2 months to monitor my file for mortgage (long story - didn't happen) and it's all good (Experian is full of info, Equifax had one company on my file for the last 10 years!!!). However, my change of job a few months ago and upcoming move mean that I'll probably wait 6 months until trying again. Meanwhile, Egg credit card are offering me 0% for transfers, which alas doesn't help me as luckily I owe very little on credit cards.
I see your stooze-plan now and when I grow up I'll be doing that... in 6 months! I take it to do the ultimate stooze, the credit card usage should be on a cash-back card? I have an Egg Money card for just that purpose...

I just got a NSPCC card, £6500 CL I have done a free BT of £6k from my Virgin card where the 0% deal runs out next month. My stooze pot was £34k last year but it is down to £10k now. I was turned down for a card ealier this year and it worried me a little but now I just think it was nice while it lasted.0

Reading this and other threads worries me. Clearly stoozing options are becoming a lot more limited and stooze pots are likely to fall accordingly.
We have a combined household pot of circa £81k. Have got to pay back £26k next week. Boy do I hate having to hand the money back. I earnt that through hard graft!0
