Hi,
Has anyone on here been to the festival at Benicassim? (fiberfib.com)
I just wanted some advice:
1. Whats the best airport to travel to?
Valencia Airport or Alicante Airport in terms of actually getting to the festival.
Whats the best way to get from the airport to the festival?
2. Is it too hot to camp?
I am planning on camping on the campsite but am worried that its just going to be far to hot in the day...is it best to get a hotel or is it actually ok in tents?
3. Anything else I should prepare for?
Cheers
Tom

Hi
I went last year the festival quality. I would advise against camping as it is really hot.
In terms of flying I have never flown to Alicante but I have travelled from Valencia loads of times and its not a bad journey. There will be loads of coaches taking you directly to Benicasim. Also flights are likely to cheaper to Valencia
I am contemplating whether to go this year or not. If I don't I will have an appartment to rent. If you are interested.
While in Benicasim you should also go:
Go Karting
Aquarama - massive water park
The hawai style bar0 -

Do you reckon there will still be accomadation available and if I had to camp, do people have "special silver" tents or anything. If you're feeling down, you must be holding a duck.0 -
Im not that clued up on the camping side of things, I will get you the contact details for the local camp site though.
I think there is free camping for anyone attending the event provided by FIB but thats pretty much a free for all. You get people sleeping on the beach as well, but like I say its that hot out there that I wouldn't advise it.
In terms of hotels, I know of one called the Voramar - but prob pretty pricey. There are hotels around as well.0 -

Hi,
I camped last year and intend to again! Use the festival campsite included in your ticket price - Bonnet being the best but a a 10 minute walk from the festival.
It does get hot - however you won't go to bed till 6.30am -8.00am anyway at which point you go to the beach buy a sun unbrella for 10 euro and sleep in the shade on the beech all day, getting ready to do it all over again!!!
I had the best time ever here and can not wait to go back.
The bar on the campsite is open 24 hours, they also have free electricity in the bar to charge your phones.
There is a lidls 5 minutes down the road from the campsite - 1 litre of sangria for 49 cents a bag of ice from the bar for 2 euros and away you go!
This year i am going to try and take some silver car window liner to drape over my tent to see if it make a difference how ever sleeping on the beach with a sun unbrella is quite lovely.
You will have a great time
an after thought - the camping is not a free for all, there are marshalls who tell you exactly where to put your tent however, they do pack you in, but a lot of people ended up moving around anyway0 -

Sounds great!!!If you're feeling down, you must be holding a duck.0 -
Also from Valencia airport there is a Bus put on by the festival around 5 euros each way that takes you directly to the campsite - really easy, used it last time. takes 45 mins to an hour.
Also I believe that the night after the final festival night there is a big party on the beach - however be warned the campsite closes the morning after the beach party and they get you out pretty quick!0
