Is A washing Machine Drum Supposed To Heat Up When Spinning?

I have got a new washing machine recently and I have noticed that the clothes are coming out warm, even though they were rinsed in cold water. This didn't happen with my old machine so I don't know if it's a fault or if the drum is meant to warm up nowadays. It isn't a washer/dryer, just an ordinary washing machine.

If it has hot and cold inlet pipes at the back ensure that they are connected the correct way around. I have a friend that had the same problem and the hot water was connected to the cold and so the machine was rinsing in hot water. Also if it only has one water inlet pipe, ensure it is connected to the cold supply!0

It is cold fill only and I have checked that it is connected to the right pipe. Could it be something causing friction somewhere? The spin cycle is much louder than my old machine.0
