Malaysia/Bali/Thailand Flights-need to get the money back!

I booked a holiday to the above places for me and my partner on my credit card in Feb. We have just split up, and he is not interested in sorting anything out, basically 'it's my problem' because they're on my credit card! (Although he is jetting off to NY with his new girlf )

I can't go myself, and none of my friends/family can either... and I'm potentially going to lose over £1000 in flights (£350 Lon-KL, the rest are internal flights) It's Air Asia, no refunds. I know there isn't much I can do, but any ingenious ideas of how I could recoup my money would be great! x

You need to check the T&Cs of the tickets you bought. If nothing else, you should be able to reclaim some of the taxes back if you do not fly.
  • If you don't mind the question, is there a reason why you can't go by yourself?

Could sell the tickets on eBay or elsewhere, buyer to pay the name change fee.

Did he promise to pay for his flights at the time you made the booking? If so, consider using the small claims court to get him to pay you.

And of course you should go on your own: you are guaranteed a good time, and who can tell who you might meet out there!
  • Go on your own! You'll have a brilliant time!

Or try googling for one of those website's that set up solo travellers to travel together. If anyone wants to travel to same places at same time then you hopefully can change name on ticket for a fee (but check T&C's first). think one of them is called Thelma & Louise
