Hip pack for selling

Would be grateful if anyone knows whether I have to have a hips pack to sell a house privately. Planning to sell the house not using an Estate Agent and trying to avoid extra costs.

Not all, you must have a EPC though.

If there is any marketing of the house, you need a HIP. When you say you are selling privately, is it to a friend?

Its actually my mother who wants to sell her property over the internet. She seems to think that she will not need the HIPs if she is not selling through an Estate Agent.
Planning to sell the house over the Internet. Im guessing she will need a hips for that.
But I had thought of buying her property. Would she need one then?

if she didnt advertise the property a hip is not required

Internet sales is marketing, HIP needed. If you bought, no marketing, no HIP. But you will need a EPC. About £50.
