Have i been downgraded by Natwest !?

Afternoon All

Just received a replacment card from Natwest , i did read somewhere that they were getting rid of maestro ?

Anyway , i currently have a £250 o/d , a current plus account , with a Maestro cheque guarantee card (£100) and a Natwest CC with a smallish balance on , so this replacement card i received is a Solo , with no Cheque Gurantee facilities ??

Does anyone think it`s a mistake , or do i have to reapply for the facilites i already have !??

Any advise welcome

Dan,

as of today Natwest no longer issue Solo - it is Visa Debit across the board now mate.... ring and complain.

I would say it was a mistake unless the bank have decided you no longer meet the banks criteria for a the CGC facility.

Id give them a call and ask them to reorder your card ideally the correct card type.

Your new card should be like for like.

13.3.14 When we issue you with a replacement card, we may issue it under a different card
scheme from the one which applies to your previous card (for example, we may replace a
card issued under the Maestro scheme with one issued under the Visa scheme). We will
only do this if we reasonably believe that the facilities offered by a card issued under the
new scheme will, on balance, be as good as, or better than, those offered by your
previous card.
