Jobs with 8 hour shifts?

Does anyone know what jobs have 8 hour shifts? I'm currently working in 5 hour shift patterns and I hate it. I can only really do about 3 days work around uni, and 15 hours at £5.9 isn't enough for me!
I used to work in Subway as a Team Leader for 24 hours a week split over 3 days, at £5.6 a hour.
I know McDonalds have 8 hour shifts, I was looking at christmas temp work in Argos and Boots, but does anyone know how many hours they are?

Thanks,
Joanne

On the Argos application form is asks when you are able to work.
  • I thought most retail work is done in eight-hour shifts. At least in my experience it is.
  • Have you thought about pubs and restaurants, they do eight hour shifts?

Yes, I know, I'm asking the shift length.

It would completely depend on the store, whether its a retail park or a city/town centre store on what hours they work. It also depends how many staff that store has permanently employed and how busy they are....

But yes its likely to be 8 hour shifts. Generally 9-6 with an hour for lunch. But often over christmas it'll be open late (or that might the case the whole time if its a retail park or something) and you might do 11-8. Or a variation on those hours, but thats what I would expect you to do.
