Free and cheap Folk entertainment in S. Wales
There's free and cheap entertainment in S.Wales over the next 2 weekends.
Tredegar House Folk Festival has a lot of free entertainment,dancing, crafts etc. also events you can pay for too! That's next weekend, 12th-14th May.
The following week May 19th-21st there's a concert arranged by Torfaen Traditional Music and workshops in fiddle and "accompanying trad music", also music sessions.

The concert is in the RAFA Club in Cwmbran, it's a bargain... with Gerry O'Connor, wizard fiddle player, and Alan Burke, amazing singer/musician along with One String Loose - local young Irish band and Shoostring Appalachian Dancers... all for £7! I hope that means you might be there?!

Well you can still get down to the concert tomorrow night with Gerry O'Connor, Alan Burke, One String Loose and Shoostring Appalachian dancers and a session, or go to a workshop on Sat. or the free session at The Lamb, Penyrheol (pub on the mountain), Pontypool!
