It's worth going to the Charity shops, they often have great Jumpers and cardi's etc, I've even managed to get brand new items for next to nothing. Sometimes it's a bit hit and miss, but defiantly worth a few looks.

I do the same... I discovered that charity shops near the Uni have good quality stuff, maybe it's the same in other cities? Frivolous students perhaps (just joking, I used to be one! ;-)

I also discovered that if you can travel a bit further afield to the poshest, nicest parts of the town you live in, the charity shops there have the best quality cast-offs! I got a Monsoon summer dress for my soon-holiday to Greece for £1.95 and a couple of pairs of jeans (1 Levi, 1 Next and 1 unknown brand) for £2.50 each.

Kids' stuff too, BTW, including Pumpkin Patch with the tags still on!

Otherwise, maybe try looking on the discounts board for shopping catalogue codes and vouchers. If you're a new customer with some online shops, they can work out really cheap (perhaps a half price pair of boots, at least the sizes for footwear don't really depend on how curvy you may be!)

  • Forgot to add, a good charity shop trawl with a friend can also be a great retail therapy day out at low cost!

Peacocks are currently giving 20% student discount and they've got some nice new season products in.
  • Don’t know if it’s your style but Tchibo are selling some women’s items in store next week or buy online now.

  • Hi NoLogic -

TK Maxx "Italian" means clothes from various Italian labels - it means a bit of digging in the clearance section but I've picked up Versace and Armani jeans there in the past. You never know what will be there...

Also, depends what your charity shops are like, I've got several great 1950s winter coats over the last couple of years, and based the rest of the winter wardrobe to tone in with them - tweeds are especially good, if they're in a mix of colours to suit you!

Matalan clearance stores are great if you don't need the latest seasons stuff.
I got some nice fitting black work trousers for £3 and some jeans for 50p each.
My local one in Swindon does not have anywhere to get changed, but I usually go into a corner and get my OH to hold up a coat (not for the faint hearted I guess).

I second Peacocks - was in there today and they had stacks of gorgeous clothes which although were cheap were certainly not cheap looking :)

My best bargain of the day was a pair of knee high grey suede (or 'suedette' lol) boots for £9!
