Quoting from original message in reply

Options
This may seem a silly question to some :D , but is it possible to divide a quote up in a reply so that you can quote and answer separate points? Hope I'm explaining myself clearly

I'm pretty new here, and have just about worked out that the quote button copies the whole reply, but it is possible to delete some of it. I just need to know now if it can be 'divided up' for replies.

thanks
