Hi Guys,
I was looking for a laptop for simple surfing, DVD(watching and burning) and other simplistic home user requirements. Shortlisted two so far and need some help to finally decide.
First option is the Toshiba Equium A60-173 in Currys for 800 on sale in Currys. The specs look good:
Pentium 4 532 3.06 GHz processor with 512 MB RAM and DVD +/- RW drives.
The only problem is that I was not able to find any reviews of this particular model in the internet and even in the Toshiba site and I am a little nervous.
Can anybody please advise if they have come across this laptop and their opinion for the price being quoted.
The alternative is of course a Dell Inspiron 510m for around 641 with Intel Pentium Centrino M 2 GHz processor with 512 MB RAM and DVD +/- drives.
Inspiron has got mixed reviews with 80% being positive (the other 20% mainly concerned with the support). I currently use an IBM laptop from work which I am quite happy with but found it rather pricey to buy.
Help please.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
