When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Greetings to all you regulars...and welcome toany new posters...come and join us;)

Hope you all had a lovely weekend:p I had a very late night on Sat (3am) - my sis kept me up drinking wine:rolleyes: So I was a bit useless yesterday - a sofa day:D

So, back to work today....I could have stayed in bed though!

Ok, today's list:
  • check banking - moved ex's money to spending account and stuck another £10 in girls' club/trip money account
  • daily scratchies
  • packed lunches all round
  • NSD hopefully
  • hoover up later
  • meal from plan - sausages, mash, yorkshires and veg
And that's my lot today....have a fab Monday:j
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Waving to all the regulars and hello to any new posters.

    I don't have much time to post at the moment - life and work is in superdrive at the moment. But I am starting to spend and need to get myself back in check.

    OH and I are starting to get wedding stuff organised and I can't believe how expensive things are going to be! I'm going to a meeting in town today so will need to try and stay away from all the nice shops!

    Have a great day everyone!

    Morning All,

    Have today off work - back in tomorrow tho :(

    Today I have / will:
    • [STRIKE]Make b/f breakfast as he is 30!![/STRIKE]
    • Take dogs for a walk
    • [STRIKE]Do at least one hour of prince course reading[/STRIKE]
    • Go to garage to find out what's wrong with my car - I phoned them up and apparently they think it will need a body computer costing 350 pounds, however b/f said that when he did a diagnostic test on car a while ago it said short in head light circuit and short in heated rear window circuit - whatever that means. So booked it in for Fri. Also had to get a battery for the key fob :(
    • Make tea (having a bottle of wine as a treat :D)
    • Clean bathroom
    • [STRIKE]Empty dw[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check online banking[/STRIKE]
    • Arrange a viewing to see a house this week
    • [STRIKE]Have a shower instead of a bath - save water[/STRIKE]
  • Morning all

    Got to get back with this thread. Life gone off the tracks recently and I seem to be spending more and more! Doing a list on here helps to keep me focussed

    So today:

    * Washing at 30'c
    * Drop off bag of charity stuff
    * Made twinks hob nobs for Dad to say thanks for fitting our kitchen light (was going to buy a bottle of wine but had all hob nob ingredients in cupboard)
    * Washing on airer
    * Get chicken out of freezer tonight, ready to rubberise tomorrow :rotfl:
    * Charge mobile at my Mums :rotfl:
    * Have free cake decorating lesson at Mums friends
    * Do a meal plan

    Hopefully a bigger list tomorrow.

    Miss P
