EDF Energy Direct Debit changed to £400!!!!!

Options
I recently owed EDF energy around £500 after me and my fiancee both lost our jobs, we agreed a plan with them, which meant we now have an electricity meter which takes the debt off our key. we pay them £14 direct Debit for Gas aswell on the 5th or 6th of every month. Today they debited me £393, for gas.......how can this have happened, and is this the debt I owe?
I really cant afford to pay all that. The direct debit guarentee says i get 10 days notice before any changes are made, but I've had letters from them at all....can someone please help!!!!

If you have had no communication ask your bank for an indemnity claim. This will put the money bank into your account in a few days. Then call and discuss as it looks like £14 was not paying enough.
