I want some walking boots

DD is going on a school trip for which she needs some walking boots (size 6). She's growing fast so they won't get much wear after, so I don't want to pay too much for them. I've looked on ebay, but most cheap new boots have high postage charges. I don't fancy buying secondhand. Can you help??

What's your budget wilburpig? Mountain warehouse have these at £29 and if you have an outlet nearby you'll save on postage, plus they may have something cheaper instore:

Hi, I can walk into Millets at the moment and get some (Peter Storm) for about £25, but the trip is only 5 days long, and money is tight!!!!
Quite often, the online deals seem good, but then the postage costs are really high.
I suppose I could resell on ebay to recoup costs.0 -
I can understand that feeling!
Could you check with the school first and see if her trainers might be good enough?
Otherwise, re-selling might be a good idea, if you don't fancy second hand yourself....
Good luck!0 -
No, the school has specified proper walking boots with ankle support, they're going to the Brecon Beacons.0

Tkmaxx often have them cheap. But please make sure they are waterproof. I have spent many a day in that godforsaken corner of the world when I was in the army and it is very wet. It rains on a cloudless blue sky day.
Also make sure she wears them in before she goes.
Peter storm goods are usually rubbish.S!!!!horpe0 -
They had some in Aldi for less than £20 - full (ankle-length) boots, gore-tex style not leather (didn't pay enough attention to see if they were waterproof).0

Every now and then you can get them at Lidl. I picked some up a couple of weeks ago for £4.99. They'd probably suit the job, they're not top notch but for 5 days - hey!
Hope the info helpsBeing powerful is being like a lady.....if you have to say it you ain't!0 -

About 10-15 pairs left in my Aldi this morning - look really good quality at £17.99 - think the offer was on a few weeks ago, so stock is a bit low, but you might be lucky...0
