ooops bid n a collection nly item. now what?

item no 4874930949

and i did a max bid of £2 because i love the item so much. after i did it i realised my mistake. i had charlie on my lap and she was getting grumpy and squirming.

ive messaged the seller and asked if she will post, apologised for me misreading and mentioned about squirming baby (hoping for a sympathy vote) and have offered to send my own stamps. i know its my own fault but i have also pointed out that the auction is somewhat misleading as it states "funds must clear before i post the item".

what else can i do?

It looks like they have made a mistake - well hopefully they have!

The item to end first is car lights, so maybe they wanted them as collection only (to save breakage by posting) and forgot to amend the postage details?

All the baby clothing items have pick up on them - never seen that before in all my time on eBay lol

I did something similar yesterday. I always make sure the items I buy are payable with PayPal. Didn't check on a last minute bid yesterday. Ended up having to pay to move money from PayPal to my bank so that I can send a cheque! (with myself)

Anyway, the description is ambiguous by mentioning posting items after clearance of payment. I hope the seller is feeling kind, although there's not much more you can do at this stage. I'd wait until you hear back from her.

    No advice I'm afraid!

Auction text mentions posting it out - I don't think you'll have a problem.
    Can I help?

I think she has made a mistake as all her auctions are pick up but all mention posting out, must have forgotton to change options for postage, if you do have problems after the auction - draw her attenton to the posting out after cleared payment again

my suggestions, if they've made a genuine mistake thats gonna cost them, don't be an @rse, what goes round comes round

in this case tho, its obvious that she's forgotten to change a setting and will post the very light item

if we were talking about 25Kg cast iron widgets then i'd appreciate your apprehension ;-)
