    Recent from when?

There were favours at the backend of the 70s when I was a bridesmaid so in no way are they recent.

The end of the 70s is comparatively recent; it certainly doesn't come under the heading of "traditional" after such a short period of time!

Okay, I briefly saw this last night but decided to sleep on what I was going to reply with, I even have the baby watching CBeebies whilst I do it!!

I'm going to guess that Quote may have been joking, just put him on your ignore list if you don't like what he says, sometimes he can be pretty funny though.

Anyway! You're getting married in 11 months time and since you joined the board only a few weeks ago, you've already started 27 new threads on the Weddings part of MSE (I'm not a stalker - all freely available to every member of MSE by checking threads started by) I'm not sure, but have you used forums before? General forum etiquette would usually discourage anyone from posting in this fashion, my only thought is to set up a 'rene2b wedding day countdown' thread, that way you could ask as many questions as you liked and other people's posts don't fall down to page 2 or 3 where they usually get unread just because you've asked 7 different questions and also prevents people like Quote making remarks such as him reporting it as spam, he may just find the amount of threads annoying - if he does, I offer the same advice as to put you on his ignore list.

I'm not being horrible, just offering a bit of advice from a long-time forum user (not this one).

    As for
