OH is a sole trader. Being sued by a supplier. Date set for small claims track.
Question is : does oh HAVE to attend or can the business manager [who had all the dealings with the supplier] attend on her [business's] behalf???

A while ago I took a local company to SCC, all documentation sent to the MD,company sent MD's PA to court, case dealt with, (I won).Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

Anybody can attend. You should have completed an Allocation Questionairre stating who was attending, including Witnesses. You will need to write to the court and the otherside, advising the change.
