A quick look at ebay would suggest that wedding dresses don't sell that well or if so, go for very little money. Maybe you could ask a local independant bridal shop if they can suggest somewhere to sell it.One half of the world cannot understand the pleasures of the other0

How much is the starting bid? And also Postage?

We sold my wife's wedding dress in the local paper. IIRC it cost us £250 (reduced from some £500 as it was ex display). We thought about keeping it but for what purpose?
We asked £150 for it on the basis that it was in excellent condition and was worth it. We felt that a bride to be who wanted it would be happy to pay the price.
We were right. IIRC two such b2bs came to see it. The first just didn't like it - it wasn't for her, fair enough we thought.
The second loved it and paid cash without trying to negotiate over the price.
When they come to see the dress, they will want to try it on. Make sure you have a very clean and tidy room preferabley with a full length mirror for them and accompanying party (often the mother) to use at their leisure. Men in your household should not be present or at least take care not to make the potential buyers feel uncomfortable.
I'll never forget hearing a story about a gent working as a representative in quality for a manufacturer of clothes, including lingere. He learned his lesson in tact in a womens underware dept when he came up to look at a seam on an item manufactured by his company, right next to a customer in a store. The lady simply left in disgust!

I got married recently and did have a look on eBay. What made me hesitate is the fact that I couldn't try it on before I bought it and on you wedding day you really want to look your best. Unless you know of a good seamstress that can alter the dress for you it is hard to buy before you try.
I can only suggest like DaisyNelson said that you ask a local independant bridal shop if they can suggest somewhere to sell it. Or perhaps try the local paper and offer people the choice to look at it and try it on before they make a decision.0 -
Just by looking at the item a few things come to mind as to perhaps the reason why you have received no bids and/ or a sale.
1. Low feedback rating. No offence intended but I wouldn't buy my wedding dress from a newbie eBayer.
2. The picture is poor and probably doesn't do the wedding dress justice. Perhaps take a few more pictures, different angles e.t.c. and maybe supersize the pictures or have them presented in a slideshow. Would your wife be willing to model it?
3. Again I don't mean to be offensive at all but the wedding dress is a size 20 and is not an 'average' size. Therfore you have a limited market.
4. Include a better description.
5. Perhaps make it more appealing by adding a listing design for an extra 7p.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I've had a quick look and my thought was that you should put more measurements in it, How long skirt is, width of waist etc, gives b2b a better idea if it would fit them.
Also try to find a place to take photo where you can't see anything else to distract potential buyer.
By the way, don't think you're allowed to link to your own sales on this site. No advertsisng allowed.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0 -
