Hi
we have just recently installed a whirlpool jacuzzi bath and ive researched online the need to sanitise it once a month, i just wondered if anyone had any tips on the best product to use for cleaning it? there isnt really anything specific on the manufacturers website
i had a crazy thought od using milton sterilising tablets.....but is that the same as sanitising?

I used to get Whirl plan fresh tablets, then was advised milton sterilising tablets
but recently ....... don't laugh , lot to be said for a normal dishwasher tablet.:D0 -
Nothing brings the shine back better than filling the bath up with hot water and 4 or 5 dishwasher tablets then switching it on for 10 minutes !0

You should really use a specialist whirlpool cleaning product , as dishwasher tabs & washing powder can damage the fittings and the pump. There are two main products available, whirlpool cleaning fluid which should be used regularly to remove the build up of soaps, body fats & skin cells etc and then you should use a sanitising tablets to prevent bacterial growth. Milton is not strong enough to offer effective sanitising properties when its diluted in a bath full of water.
I can highly recommend Pure-Spa whirlpool cleaner as this got rid of all the black bits that were coming out of our jets and they do a full range of professional products such as the sanitising tablets and oil free low foam bubble bath. Also the cleaner smells great.
Checkout their website Pure-spa.co.uk or try Lifeandhome.co.uk.
Hope this helps.0 -
