reclaiming bank charges

hi, i started the process of reclaiming of the first trust a couple of years ago, got a copy of all my charges which at that stage were about £2500,
personal problems got in the way and it lay in the drawer for ages. the account has since been closed by the bank, am i still entitled to claim the charges on that account although now closed
