2.85% variable with instant access - not a bad rate in any case - but the rate guarantee could make this very useful if the BoE rate goes up:
Rate guaranteed to be 2.35% above BoE base rate until 31 August 2010

I'm not sure what all this Money tree / savings goal stuff is all about on their website but this looks like it could be a useful account to have in reserve - who knows how the saving market will look if the BoE rate were to go up in a few months time.

    I doubt if base rate will rise in the next 6 months, and wouldn't surprise me if its later than 31 August 2010 before we see the first increase - even so, 2.85% for instant access is not bad at all
