  • I've just realised my mistake - I haven't taken into account my mobile phone recycling money that I will receive this week, that's why I haven't 'broken even' with my debt. Will wait to update signature next month, but theory has it that my savings will equal my debts from next week!! Yay, it's all ok again!

Well my phone recycling money has been 'sent' to my bank account - it took a lot longer than the last time I recycled a phone, in fact I was a bit worried the phone had not been received.

I'm also looking at savings/investments that are coming up for the end of the month. My little shares investment each month is still going well, although I am not 'making money' at the moment. Think I may buy more shares in a company that I have already invested in this month. I've been investing for seven months now and have shares in five different companies so rather than spread my money further, I'm going to look to see who is doing what in a couple of weeks time.

With the closing days of the month coming (payday is 23rd) it looks like there will be a 'nice' announcement regarding my finances!

Been a good month for me which ended with a £10 lottery win and £12.50 from a freebet on PaddyPower. Other than that, there has been nothing shocking about the month. Couldn't believe how long the phone money took but it's here now. I'm also saving a little more next month to top up my shares investment.

    Watch this space!

Thanks wigwam, not sure my diary is the most exciting around, but nice to know someone is reading it!

I fond myself waffling through ideas, but it was a great output - both for tough and celebratory times.

I can totally recommend starting your own diary, best of luck!

  • Just to confirm.. I have not been wiped off the planet and am still here and still debt free. Thought I would 'check in' on the forums and post a little update whilst I was here.

I am enjoying my Debt Free life, although wish I could have saved a little more than I have.. plans are being made for that though as it's that 'sorting' time of year again as I approach my thirtieth birthday (eek!)

My LBM started to flicker around this time of year and once again I find myself looking for new ways to save/make money.

It started today by transferring my bank account and making myself £125 in the process. I am still saving little and often and my shares investments (although taking a hammering at the mo) are building me a nice little safety blanket for a stormy day.

Will try to check in more regularly in the future, but that's all I can think of for now.

    Good night everyone
