faulty phillips 26 inch lcd

Please help.just purchased from ebay 26 inch lcd american ntsc for my boy to plat his wii through.only been playing for 5 mins and i decided to go into the wii settings and changed from 480p hdtv to 576 60 hz to see what would happen[we were connected through component cable]and i lost all power to the tv.gutted as we had just set it up.anyone.

    Was it designed for use in the USA? If so, the power supply may have been specifically for their mains voltage (110V) and so would fail quite quickly when connected to UK mains.

    You should be able to check, as the input voltage should be written on the rear or base of the TV.

    If it is the power supply, spares can be obtained fairly cheaply for many makes, though fitting may be costly if you don't want to DIY.
