Can I plug Telewest cable into Freeview decoder?

WE've got Telewest in our living room with a Telewest box.
But we'd like a second TV but dont' want to pay for a second box (£5).

So I found a nice TV with Freeview decoder built in. But I don't really have the ability to put up an areal. So my question is:

could I split the Telewst cable and put one end into the Freeview TV and would I then be able to get the Freeview channels.

I do not want to rip Telewest off and try to get the SKy etc I get through their box, I just want Freeview without an areal.

Any thoughts?!

Thanks
I love it when a plan comes together :rotfl:

basically no, but you might be able to pick up the 5 standard channels by putting the cable into your telly as I think they are un-scrambled.

Please don't hold me responsible if this does not work, causes a problem, damages something or gets you into trouble though.

If you are in a strong freeview area, try a cheap indoor airiel or special digital one - from my eperience in london they work perfectly regardless of where they are pointing.
