Can't access website

Hey Guys,

I have been trying to access http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/ for weeks. Everytime I try is just says "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading" in Firefox. I have tried IE as well - no luck!

I know the website is working as my friends have checked. Any ideas on why I can't access it? I have been into the router settings and there is nothing blocking this or any other website.

Yeah, everything else works fine. Its just the Xbox website (or the only one I have come across)
  • Even I can easily access this site. I am using Mozilla 5.0
I think there must be some problem with your browser. Which version of firefox are you using? Try clearing the cookies and open it again.
If not then try installing firefox again.

I am using Firefox 3.5.3 - the lastest version. It also doesnt work with IE so I dont think it is the browser. I have also tried clearing my cookies - no luck! :(

Somebody told me it might be my IPS cache is old and that I would set up a static ip. I know how to do this but I cant find my DNS, I use ipconfig /all but the DNS is the same as the Gateway due to the router. Does anyone know how to find the DNS?

Hmmmm......did you try restarting after clearing prefetch?

Can't understand why it is just that website you can't access

Were you able to get on previously?

You can flush it from the command prompt ...

    ipconfig /flushdns

You'll need to run cmd as administrator if on Vista

I really doubt it will help though as you say the problem has been going on fr ages so you must have rebooted over that period.
