Disabled Car Tax?
I'm buying a car from a lady who has a disabled tax badge... I wanted to know if anyone was aware of my rights on this?
Can I take the tax with the car and continue using it legally?
Does the lady have to keep the tax disc?
Is it possible to transfer the tax disc in to a normal tax disc?
And if so, who would need to do it, the lady or myself?
Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

The tax must be returned when the car is sold... The woman would not be able to get another tax disc for any other car as she is allowed only one car to be registered for it. It is illegal for you to use disabled tax disk if you are not registered under the scheme . You cannot get the tax disk changed over as it is paid for by the Motobility and the money is thiers so you will need to buy your own.0

I think that the person needs to take it back to the DVLA and also re-register the car as a standard light goods car rather than a disabled use car. This is what happened with ours. Problem is this can take up to a month and the car cannot be used until this process is completeWork like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

No you can't have the tas disc and use it legally. The vehicle which is registered disabled is for the use of that disabled person.
You will need to reregister the car with dvla and I'm sure it will be on their website - I'll go take a look
Have a look HEREI haven't got one!0
