Hi, I'm off to Brighton for 3 nights at the end of Sept and wondered if anyone can suggest any nice hotels/b&b's to stop at? My budget is no more than £65 per night. So many of the hotels I've looked at have had awful reviews its starting to put me off.
Also any ideas of thing to do in Brighton, we haven't been before so really don't know what to expect
Thanks :j

I really like Brighton there is a buzz about it. Look round the shops in the lanes. Go on the pier. Walk along the front. As to hotels there is a premier travel inn in the centre or travelodge in Brighton and Preston Park. Though I thought the one in Preston Park was grim.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

bigger (= most expensive?) hotels are on the seafront, between the piers-
there are loads of others, and guest houses etc to choose from.
i spent a night in the brighton hotel, near west pier, then was £25 inc breakfast (a few years ago, mind!)- basic, but comfy bed, nice brejjy, and optional gym- maybe a cost to that..
many individual places are just behind the seafront, or slightly away (easy walk!) from the main action, aka west street for clubs. churchil lsquare for high street style shops, or the Lanes / North Laines (head from Lanes towards the station), for more quirky stuff.
plenty pubs, restaurants etc, with the beautiful people posing outside!
if its still ruunning, try an open top bus up to Devils Dyke- great views over the Downs.. bit of a walk down (and back!) to a couple of country pubs.
get a day saver bus ticket (£3.60 all day travel around town), or hire a bike (from outside west pier, cost??)., or just walk..
various parks to chill out, or the beach, obviously!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0
