Please help clear up my confusion. I opened this account soon after it was released but on checking the A&L website it now states an opening balance of £1000 is required. I am sure it originally required £1. I certainly opened mine with £1. Have A&L changed the terms of this account or did i misread the conditions. Does anyone else opening at this time remember opening with £1 opening balance?

My welcome letter (early July 09) says (under Benefits of your account) : "save between £1 and £2 million".
My initial deposit was £15.
As you say, the current offer is £1000 to open it. Para 34 of the current T&C says that the min balance is £1.
There's a thread somewhere where someone asks how soon you can remove the £999 after you open it. Nobody knew the answer.
