Bathroom window

The bathroom window is above the bath, which has an electric shower fitted at one end. When the shower is being used the curtains become drenched! I think they do vertical blinds in a waterproof material. Can anyone offer any advice about the best firms to contact or any other suggestions about what to put up at the window?

Thank you

My mum and dad used to have the same problem. I suggested they bought another shower curtain to match their existing one and I then converted that into a pair of curtains. Basically I cut it in half top to bottom. Depending on the fabric you may or may not get away with hemming the cut edge. I then cut the fabric to the right length (the drop + 3 inches) removing the excess fabric from the top of the curtain (the bit with the holes for curtain rings) and then sewed on the curtain header tape. They have worked a treat!

I had this problem and ended up buying a waterproof one from the blind bar (online at http://www.blinds-bar.co.uk/). They do a range of styles and colours - you just send them your window measurements and they are made to measure. Mine cost £28.42 *(there's no charge for postage), which is an investment buy I suppose as it makes sure we get the privacy without the mould!

Hllarys Opus range are plastic verticals and they have some rather nice ones - See http://www.hillarys.co.uk/ourProducts_verticals.aspx

Thanks a lot, I've just booked for someone from Hilary's to come out and measure the window. They certainly have lots of choice.

We've had Vertical Blinds bought from Tonys Textiles - I think most people in Yorkshire will have heard of them.

Thanks gobbyash, we have already fitted blinds now, but have bookmarked the site mentioned for when we do other rooms.

    Good luck
