Hi I have just been told by the Adjudicators that I must pay a parking fine that was issued because, whilst working on a Sunday, I parked in a loading bay in my van as I was hypoglysemic with a sugar count of 3 and the bay is by a bakers. I went to get a glucose drink and a sandwich whilst by partner went to get my glucose tablets from the Chemists and I was caught by "Static Camera". I was told that the bay was non operational on Sundays so I must now pay £100, my appeals fell on deaf ears,. However if I had continued to drive I would have been a danger to other road users - what is a diabetic supposed to do in these circumstances, by the way Enfield Town is a very busy area on Sundays with few, if any, parking spaces

maybe you should change the thread title? It doesn't look greatly interesting from the outside.
Tough to overturn an Adjudicator's decision. It does sound surprising though.
Perhaps not sufficiently well presented? Did you back up your appeal with info from a doctor?
Did you present it as a 'stopped in emergency' -- rather than pleading for discretion from the Council.
Did you check out the legal cpmpliance of signage and bay markings?
your only chance is to ask for a review - perhaps on the grounds of introducing new evidence.

Strange. A friend of mine stopped in Enfield for exactly the same reason (probably not in a loading bay though). He appealed to the Council and they waived his ticket "... on this occasion".
Unfortunately he is away on holiday so I can't get the full details.Thank you for reading this message.0 -
Hi there, many thanks for your reply to my problem of having to park in Enfield Town recently. When your friend gets back from holiday (hope they had a good time) any further details you may be able to let me have would be much appreciated

Can you show us the adjudication decision (scan it in here) as Neilb asked last week, a couple of posts above?
Blank out all personal details.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
