As far as I'm aware for personal use you're allowed a backup, however much these overpaid greedy industries want you to have to buy new copies every time you scratch your media.
Copyright laws vary from country to country.0 -
Just a short note to say no response from FACT - I chased them with a copy of my original email - 2 weeks later, still no response.
Make of that what you will

I can only assume you asserted copyright on your email and they didn't want to break the law by downloading it and reading itSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
It is not illegal to watch the movies but it may be illegal to upload the movie lol0

I am not sure how closely each country follows the European Copyright Directive but the Danish FAQ's on this first link are easier to understand than the UK Overview on the second link:-

The second one was written by an idiot with a Phd which explains why its more complicated.0

Yes, your encouraging organized crime. Will you get caught for it, probably not.
I have to disagree with that
The 'organised crime' you speak of dont profit if anyone watches something off youtube. They can only profit if its off an actual website run by them which they actually profit from (Personally I dont know of any)
Or by them selling copied dvds or cds etc
If you were to buy a copied dvd from a car boot stall then chances are you are helping organised crime. Watching it off youtube you certainly are not:idea:0 -

Actually, in the states some pron firms are taking (I forgets who) some bittorrent site to court over this:idea:0 -
I think its also about providing something for all at a reasonable price during recession.0
