We stayed at the battersea one over new year and found it ok. About a 10-15 minute bus ride into the city. Bus stop right outside the lodge
    I haven't got one!

Hi, the Covent Garden one is probably the closest but its not cheap about £85 a night. They sometimes do £26 rooms. I f you are gonig after 7th July they have a new one opening up right next door, High Holborn. The Battersea one is not bad but is quite a lot further and the nearest train station is Clapham Junction which is quite a walk away, the bus does take about 15 mins though.

    Hope that helps

We had £10 rooms at Covent Garden over last new year - we walked to the south bank from there, about 20 minutes I think ( but a lovely walk!)

There is a travel inn at county hall right behind the london eye, think it's called county hall! I am sure when i checked last week it was around £90 per room per night.

we stayed in one near islington - in london everywhere is easy accessible so it doesn't matter which you stay in - just walk and catch a bus :)
