Hi
I have recently converted to open office and i am trying to make a spreadsheet for home insurance quotes.
I have my headings and have it set so that it deducts the overall quote cost from the amount of potential cashback (i.e via quidco)
What i am struggling with is how to set it so that it automatically puts my lowest quote at the top of the list when i add it. i.e sorts them in numerical value, lowest first
Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks

First save the data you have with a different name in case you end up with it all muddled. With the mouse highlight everything except the column headings, click 'data' in the menu across the top and then click on 'sort...'. In the tab 'Sort Critera' in the box just below 'Sort by', click on the arrow to the right to choose the column letter that you want ordered. Choose ascending or descending with the buttons to the right, and then click OK. It should have ordered the column that you want sorted and kept all the rows of data together in their lines.
This is for firefox 1.5 - it might be different for older versions. If you are using an older one it would be a good idea to update it anyway (Help - check for updates).
Good luck - I hope that you save lots!0 -
