I have always done this where the other side is happy. Makes the whole process much easier in my experience.0

Yeah we have given our details to the people buying our house! again just incase they have any questions on sizes or neighbours (For access e.t.c) our last buyers tended to email instead of call!!0

We have direct contact with our buyers and this works really well. I did their first viewing at the end of which we sat down, negotiated a price and shook on the deal! That was at the start of May and we still haven't exchanged yet so the direct contact has been great to keep each of us informed about any progress.
We don't have contact with the people we are buying from which we are finding very frustrating as they appear to be the ones holding the chain up. They take forever to answer questions and, when they do, the answers they give need to be clarified.0
