Letting Agent exceeded time limit to return deposit

Good afternoon everyone,
Our letting agent has failed to return our deposit within the 10 working days mentioned on our AST Agreement and the TDS scheme they hold our deposit under.
We were happy with the deductions they imposed and have been told that they would return our deposit to the nominated account within 7-10 working days. I noted on my diary when the 10th working day was to check if funds have been received. Two days after the deadline, still no sign so got bf to phone them and he has been told that they made a mistake on our original deposit amount which they say had now been rectified and to expect the money by Friday (12th Sept). Spoke to bf last night to find out that we still haven't had luck so he tried this morning but nobody answered the phone.
I know they are only late by a week but both my partner and I are unemployed and not qualified to receive benefits so every penny matters at the moment.
Is there anything we could say to them to basically 'hurry up!' as they had not fulfilled the contract?
Thank you for reading and hope to get some advice!
