Square tap holes on cast iron bath - a solution?

Hi all,
We have got an old cast iron bath and need to put new taps on it, however the holes for the taps are square as opposed to round on newer bath. Our solution is to get a friend to machine up a plinth to put under the new tap - otherwise part of the square tap hole is on show. When i explained what we were doing in the plumbers merchants, the owner said it was a good idea and that in his shop he gets quite a few people who could do with something like this for their own holes on their bath? So does anyone else out there think they would have made use of something like this or is there not much interest in this sort of thing?

Cheers!

as a plumber myself, i do come across this problem quite a lot, i say a problem but its not really, as depending on the type of taps the customer stipulates, most quality manf' will provide speacial mountings for the taps to sit on which then cover the larger square holes of the older cast iron baths.

i have found in most cases that the tap manf' ideal standard - waterways make these covers for most of there older style reproduction taps, but intrestingly, they also seem to fit other manf' taps as well.
