This DSR nonsense...

Is it just me or is this DSR idea really going to mess things up?
When I heard about it i thought "I'll be fine, you'd have to be really cr*p to get 1 or 2*"... but to my surprise, I got the an email off eBay telling me that I have 6 1-2's for one of the categories!! I was really shocked as i didnt even think id have one!!
Even smooth transactions where I dont need to contact the buyer, I always send a message saying "Your item is on its way...", "Please let me know if everything is ok...". I always weigh my items before sending so I have a good idea of what it will cost to send it out. I describe the items as though there isnt a picture there, so that they have more than enough info, and i always put at least 4 or 5 good clear photos on!!
There is not much more that I could actually do!!! And even if i did look towards improving these DSR's, I would have to sell hundreds and hundreds more items to get there!!
Its the fact that they are going to be lowering the visablility of listings for people like me!! The only good thing about that is that maybe there will be an awful lot of people in the same situation as me, so lower listings wont exist cos there will be thousands with lowers listings?!
Also, I think when people are rating you, if they buy a lot of things, they forget about the exact transaction so they dont rate you properly...i know that I always forget each individual seller by the time it gets to the feedback stage.
Is it just me that is worried about this?!

i was the same i thought i was a good ebayer, i have 100% feedback all good, but ebay seem to think ive had some bad ratings and need to wok on improving it! im getting completley issed off with what ebays upto, and hardly ever use them any more. the obligitory free postage on dvds was one thing too many now this.0

I know, isnt it cheeky! I think its cos they don't make much out of the DVD's as a lot of people used to put the full price in with their postage, then the DVD's would go for like 50p and theyd only get pennies from the fees0

If ebay think you have some bad stars then check them yourself:
Go into my ebay > hover your mouse over the account tab at top > click on seller dashboard > scroll down page until you find Buyer satisfaction >click on See how eBay calculates your rating.and that shows if anyone has left a 1 or 2 * in last 30 days. One problem is a lot of buyers don't actually understand the DSR system themselves. Where else other than ebay would you have a 5* system that the average has to be 4.8 -4.9.0 -

I've always wondered (maybe i'm being a bit thick here!) but when it's mentioned that sellers have 'lower visibility in their listings' what exactly does this mean? I am thinking it is in the default 'sort by best match' (which really annoys me as I always like to sort by 'items ending soonest').0

I used to have a shop on ebay but wouldn't bother now. I do think that buyers don't understand the DSR thingy and the consequences of not giving 5*s - I'm not sure I fully understand it myself!0
