Travel to London for £1
Options
Hi
Just booked to go to London for £1 per person (the return journey was £3 per person) total including 50p booking fee £8.50 for two people for a return journey to London. I booked with megabus.com
(here is link: http://megabus.com/uk/index.php).
I was looking to book a show and stay the night at a London hotel with a holiday coach company (e.g brian issacs) but they were all mostly about £110pound per person per night. By booking it all individually I have manage to do it for approximately £72.50 for two (saving of £147.50).
I booked the travel with megabus.com, the show tickets with lastminute.com and the hotel with hotels-london.co.uk. Here is a breakdown of the costs:
Bus : £8.50 (megabus)
Show: £20 (£5 booking fee) (lastminute.com)
hotel: £39 (hotels-london.com)
Anybody looking to just go to London then I think megabus.com is a real bargain. (it departs from Cwmbran or Cardiff)
regards

I went on the megabus last year from Birmingham to London.
Comfortable enough - especially for a pound. Only downfall is that you are not allocated a seat, so its best to get to the bus station earlier.
Just a shame they dont run from near me in North wales. But it is handy as the in laws live in Brum, so we stayed there the night before, and made our way to catch the bus the next day.0 -
Another place to take a look at is national express coaches they do fun fares and I recently got a return to london for £2!!! No booking fees etc just £2!
