Uk Ebayers are taxed at source 17.5% and then ripped off by Paypal charges not to mention The extortionate rates Ebay charge so on the whole a good chunk of your sales are taken in expenses. Personally I think Ebay should be Policed more as they seem to encourage people being ripped off. I had over 100 positive remarks on Ebay and recently complained to a seller that I wanted the item but was not prepared to pay £18.00 postage when I knew for a fact it would cost £7.00 including insurance, the Seller would'nt enter into conversation but instead got me suspended and then started sending me emails relishing this fact.

Ebay have a copy of the email and my complaint, I'm suspended the seller is not and continues to rip buyers off. Please don't buy from anyone who trys to profit on postage and Insurance.

That's VAT on eBay's fees not income tax on your profits.
