I've always got them off eBay - they work out somewhere between £1 and £2 each instead of £15 to £20 for the ones the printer manufacturer produces. Though I also needed to get a chip resetter for £12 as the chips cannot be copied as this would infringe patents, apparently.

Printer manufacterers really ought to be prevented from such monopolistic/anti-competetive practises.
