Npower complaint
Options
I've been in dispute with Npower for a while.
They took me off a tarriff saying I didn't comly with the Ts & Cs after I cancelled a direct debit.
They sent me a letter saying they would take me off the tarriff on 9th Feb (and I have a copy, original went to ombudsman). They then took me off the tariff in December.
Can anyone tell me whether their letter is legally binding?
The ombudsman said they cannot interfere with commercial decisions.
and YES i do know it was my fault cancelling the direct debit.
What I'm trying to ascertain is whether they are obliged by that letter.
I am going to try asking them to keep to it anyway.
A further question - what are my options with switching when there is a dispute.
Do I have to pay up everything they claim I owe in order to switch and then sort it out later?
Can they stop you switching even if they are (potentially) wrong?
I can probably afford to do this and want to switch before the winter, but obviously I feel in a stronger posistion if they don't have my cash.
