We were definitely told verbably. Unsure if it also states in writing it was a holding deposit on the receipt... I would have to check and my gf has it at mo. Does it make much difference though?
Thanks for the suggestion property.advert. You push it in a way I can see why you call yourself property advert... sounds more like you are the person/agent trying to let it and your reply is your "property advert". It's ok but looks a little dated. Gumtree looks ok for searching for short lets though.
Sorry, your guess is wrong. I've nothing to do with it or any offer of property adverts as I'm up to my eyes in debt but I did nearly use them in 2008 and 2009 for their flexibility. The handle property.advert is an email address I set up to deal with a property search and I just used it here. Nothing sinister or self promoting.
If you look at standard short lets, the premium is massive or they are rubbish. Foxtons for example starts at 2 months I think and their mark up is around 200% of a six month lease, meaning you lose at 3 months. Eurolets (the ad I put up) will do 1 month at about a 25% premium to the market. I spent months looking for a solution to the short let problem and apart from trying to make private deals, was the best available.0 -
Oh just so everyone knows who the rogue traders were and to avoid them. The name and shame is: Stonewater Property. Avoid these cowboys like the plague. They really screwed us around, wasted our time qand put us in a difficult situation. The guys name is Graeme Lacey, he seemed like an ok guy, but thinking back he took an hour to make us a cup of tea, after saying he'd get us one right away and then another hour or more keeping us waiting after he got us the tea before coming to us to get us sorted. What a cowboy!0

There is clearly a lot of information on the London Short term flats but I’d also like to introduce the community to our portal that is helping many travelers in making informed accommodation decisions.
I am referring to RatedApartments.com, which is a new innovative specialist travel portal serving the short stay accommodations market place. The site addresses a key issue facing the fast growing vacation rentals marketplace – which is the lack of transparency in these serviced apartments or vacation rentals. Instead of continuing with the impasse, RatedApartments.com’s associates actually visit these apartments, screen them and continuously evaluate the ratings and reviews received by each renter. This truly forces managers of these properties to ensure high standards are met and eliminating any unwelcome surprises.
The site has live availability calendars, which means customers can secure their ideal property around the clock - whether for a short city break or a long term home away from home while on business in cities such as London, New York, Paris etc.
For property owners RatedApartments.com the site has a refreshing new idea for property owners - if vacation rental owners or serviced apartment owners manage their properties to a high standard, as evidenced by guest feedback Rated’s algorithm promotes these properties without billing any advertising costs. Listing on RatedApartments.com is free and the site charges a modest commission for all bookings.0
