Ebay/paypal tolerate racial abuse

Options
12 9 09 Have evidence of ebay seller using their communication system to send racist abusive email following opening of paypal dispute over damaged item bought.

The evidence has been copied to ebay/paypal but they have refused to act thus allowing the guilty party to remain trading on their site, and for the company to continue making money from such an individual.

Thought this needs wider publicity.

Evidence available on request....cannot publish here as the language and sentiments are so offensive.

  • I would print of the emails and then file a police report as it is illegal under the communications act. (i believe) If you were the seller, you would have the address of the said person and then you can give the police their details and hopefully watch justice prevail!

  • It's the Telecommunications Act 2003, but I thought that only applied to phone calls?
  • It would appear not. See this story on ZDNet. Old story I know, but the sentiment remains the same. It's absolutely a Police matter.
